               Centenarian & WWII Veterans!



                                    Martin Nevins, US Coast Guard


            Marty (Bud) Nevins was born in Stuart,
            Iowa on February, 1920.  At the age of 19,
            as the winds of war were gaining intensity,
            he left Iowa to serve his country.
            Marty was in the service of the United
            States Coast Guard for
            over 40 years,
            responsible for the
            maintenance and
            performance of its
            aircraft. He served
            both in the Atlantic
            and Pacific oceans.







                                    Harry M.Stevens, US Navy & Marine Corp


            Harry M. Steven, born February, 1922.
            He served in both the US Navy and
            Marine Corps. He got his wings at the
            Pensacola NAS and then became a Marine
            Captain serving as a Flight Instructor.
            He flew the Stearman
            Biplane and the SNJ in
            WWII. His entire
            professional career was
            with GE in the field
            of Naval Nuclear Pro-
            pulsion. He served on
            Admiral Rickover’s staff
            and created the first
            robotic arm for use in
            containment vessels. He
            resides at The Vineyard
            in Bluffton.
