TIPS FOR CARERS.
Over the years I have met so many carers who have problems managing their
stress and wellbeing, and become overwhelmed when it comes to setting
goals, especially in their older years.
I created this to help people understand why they get overwhelmed and
stressed out and have problems relaxing. More importantly, I created this
guide to show how easily such stress can be overcome.
A few pointers below will touch upon mindfulness, emotions, and exercise.
Mindfulness
Do you remember when you first started school, college or University? The
freedom you felt without your parents. You were either full of excitement or
nervous about meeting new friends. You had little time to be worried about
your mum or your dad.
As we get older and face more pressures in life, our wellbeing becomes more
significant, as does, how we care about our health.
This includes having a mindfulness practice that teaches how to become more
self-aware of how we think.
Mindfulness can easily be incorporated into our everyday lives. It is a beautiful
practice that can help you better manage your thoughts and actions in terms
of your stress. Mindfulness teaches you how to become more self-aware and
reliant. You can help yourself move from an emotional state to one that is
calmer.
In Transcendental Meditation, the origin of a thought is described as a small
“bubble” originating from the deepest level of the subconscious, travelling
through its different levels before being conceived consciously as a thought.
Include mindfulness awareness in your everyday life. Give social media or the
internet a break. The internet and media can be powerful tools but can also be
a distraction at times and cause stress. Filtering and disconnecting are
important to help us retain a state of balance. No need to worry about missing
out. When you feel stressed out, your peace of mind is a priority.
