Let the home search begin
A home is about more than the number of bedrooms or bathrooms. It's about how you feel when you're
in it. To really pinpoint the type of home you're looking for, consider the following questions:
• What is prompting your move?
• When do you need to be in your new home?
• Do you need to sell a home? What are your plans if your home sells quicker than you finding a
home?
• Who will be living in the home you purchase?
• Do you have pets?
• Does your home need to accommodate any special needs?
• What do you enjoy doing at home?
• Do you do a lot of entertaining?
• Do you want to have a swimming pool or hot tub?
• What is your maximum commute time and distance to work, entertain, family?
• Are schools and school districts important?
• Do you want a house in move-in condition or are you willing to do some work on it?
• Do you want a porch or deck?
• How many stories?
• How many bedrooms and bathrooms do you need?
• Do you want a fireplace?
• What are the top three things your home needs?
• What are the top three things you really want?
• Do you prefer city or rural area living?
• Do you want to be in a neighborhood?
• What type of home are you looking for (eg. Resale, new construction, single-family,
townhome/condo)
