(CAESEDA Specialized Education Reception Center for Children with
Hearing Impairments Nkolmebanga)
The deaf children who currently live and go to school at CAESEDA Centre d’Acceuil
et d’Education Specialisee des Enfants Deficients Auditifs Nkolmebanga,
approximately 80 km outside Yaoundé, Cameroon are in need of a new school and
living quarters (orphanage). The facility is currently housed in the deteriorating
buildings of an old poultry factory. Sister Simone, a Catholic nun who currently runs
CAESEDA has been given land by the Cameroonian government to build a new
facility, but she does not have the necessary funds.
