If you take the road less travelled and turn off the Warrego Highway, you may, if you’re
lucky, come across a little hidden gem. Resting between Laidley and Gatton is the little
town of Forest Hill. Visitors are excited to stumble upon this lovely little town which has
transformed itself over the years, into a perfect day trip destination.
A historic farming area, Forest Hill is part of Salad Bowl of the Lockyer Valley, QLD with her rich fertile
soil. Large varieties of crops are grown throughout the year, including the reintroduction of cotton to the
area. After harvesting it feels like there has been a snow flurry blow through the town with soft white
clouds of cotton covering the landscape.
