Dawn's books span across a variety of topics including childhood hearing loss,

dysgraphia and writing challenges, bullying and forgiveness, learning English
as an additional language, and positive self-image. Some are just plain silly
and are written to evoke giggles and belly laughs. Dawn's wish is for her
stories to touch more people around the world

With an adventurous spirit and, when it is possible, Dawn loves to travel. Some
of the risk-taking escapades she has undertaken over age 50 include zip-lining
through the rainforest in Thailand, hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu,
mountain-biking down Death Road in Bolivia, and trekking with gorillas in
Uganda.

"Dawn Doig, M.Sc., M.Ed, Aud(C), is the author of And So Ahmed Hears, a children's
picture book which was published by Widex Canada as a humanitarian project in order to
improve public awareness of childhood hearing loss."

Dawn has set up a funding campaign to help get deaf children out
of a chicken factory and into a proper school. Please consider
